Former Shoals Minister Being Investigated for Sex Crimes - FOX 54 WZDX – Huntsville News, Weather and Sports

Sheffield Police confirm that they're investigating claims of sexual abuse against a former music and youth minister at the Sheffield First United Methodist Church.

Investigators say they began looking into the claims Monday. The man was let go from the church once the allegations came to light. Police say there may be numerous victims spread out over years or decades.

The 78 year old man has not been charged at this time, and officers are still interviewing witnesses.
