A powerful storm ripped through Limestone County Wednesday causing significant damage at Athens Bible School.
A macroburst caused that damage on Hoffman Road.
The most damage was found on the roof. The winds actually picked the roof up off the annex building and threw it across the main building where much of it landed in the front. There did not appear to be any damage inside the classrooms.
Bethel Church of Christ has been holding services at the building since their building was destroyed during the April tornadoes last year. Church members say they hope the roof can be repaired quickly so worship services can resume.
