More charges have been filed against a man accused of opening fire at a Tuscaloosa bar and injuring over a dozen people.
44-year-old Nathan Van Wilkins is charged with 18 counts of attempted murder. One of those counts stems from a shooting at a home in Northport shortly before the Tuscaloosa incident.
Police say surveillance video from Monday night shows Van Wilkins walking to the Copper Top bar, carrying a military style assault weapon.
According to witnesses, he stood outside the bar for a while before firing through a window. 17 people were wounded, one of them critically.
We're told two of the victims are from the Shoals. They are Chelsea Colagross of Killen and her boyfriend, Jason Atencio of Florence. Both are students at the University of Alabama. They were treated and released from the hospital.
