Screwdriver Used in Florence Stabbing - FOX 54 WZDX – Huntsville News, Weather and Sports

Police say a stabbing in Florence sent one victim to the hospital and landed a suspect in jail.

Investigators say 36 year old Lametria Evette Wess of Tuscumbia stabbed a 17 year old girl three times with a screwdriver after an argument escalated Wednesday morning.

Wess allegedly confronted the victim in front of the City Lodge Motel on Court Street after learning that she had been seeing the father of Wess's child.

The victim was treated and released from Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital.

Wess has been charged with Assault.
