Car Crashes into Hydrant on the Parkway - FOX 54 WZDX – Huntsville News, Weather and Sports

A bizarre accident during the afternoon rush hour brought traffic on North Memorial Parkway in Huntsville to a screeching halt Tuesday.

Investigators say a car heading south on the access road hydroplaned and hit a fire hydrant, causing water to shoot 50 feet into the air.

The crash near the Sparkman Drive intersection happened just after 4:30PM.

The driver was not hurt.
