A student at UAH is finding her own way to fight one of the deadliest forms on cancer. Robin Winchester is doing her best to raise awareness about pancreatic cancer. Doctors diagnosed her fiance. Jason Williams, with the deadly disease two years ago.
To support Jason and to cope herself, Robin started writing about pancreatic cancer on her blog, The Purple Petition. She says she created it as a resource for information to better equip themselves if they are diagnosed or knows someone who gets diagnosed. She is also busy making purple ribbons for pancreatic cancer awareness month in November.
