
Franklin County, Tennessee deputies are investigating after a woman's body was found burned on the side of a road early Monday morning.
The unidentified woman's body was discovered around 1:18 a.m. near the Awalt Bridge. It was found by a motorist who spotted the grass fire surrounding it.
Preliminary information from the scene indicates that the woman is a white female with dark red hair between 18 and 25 years old with several star tattoos on her ankle and neck.
Early Monday afternoon, investigators announced they've identified the woman, but will not release her name until her family has been notified.
Investigators also say they're on the look out for a stolen red 1995 Ford Mustang believed to be connected to the crime. The car has a Franklin County Tennessee tag # 533-SBB
