Jury Recommends Death Penalty for Jessie Phillips

In the Marshall County Courthouse, a jury recommended the death penalty for Jessie Phillips on Tuesday afternoon. Phillips was convicted of capital murder for shooting and killing his pregnant wife.

He was found guilty of killing his pregnant wife, Erica Phillips in Guntersville in 2009.

The judge will make the final decision on a sentence.
