Doctor Angelique Lawrence says she shudders to think of the life these dogs lead before they were discovered Thursday morning in a Madison home.
It's a mental disorder in human beings that do this. I pity the dogs and I pity the people too," she says.
Police say a total of 84 dogs were discovered still alive in deplorable conditions at a home on Crestview Drive. One was discovered dead. 45 had to be Euthanized.
Doctors at Madison Vet Clinics are updating their vaccines, taking care of fleas and bathing and grooming the puppies that are still alive.
An adoption event will be held Saturday for the rescued pups at the Petco in Madison from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
