Your FOX54 News Team brings you news, weather, and sports from around the Tennessee Valley seven nights a week. 

 

Chase Gallimore, Weeknight Anchor

Chase Gallimore grew up in Huntsville, AL. He is a huge sports fan, and played semi-pro football in his recent home of Victoria, TX. He graduated from Auburn University, where he was on TV during Auburn Athletic events. His first national TV appearance was on The Price is Right, where he made it to the Showcase Showdown and won!

His most recent television post was in Victoria, TX, and he is thrilled to be back in the Tennessee Valley with his family and friends. He is currently working on his Master's of Divinity at Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN.

Ari Sarsalari, Meteorologist

Ari is thrilled to be part of the FOX54 Nine O'clock News Team. He is graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, but loves the climate here-hot and humid with lots of thunderstorms. He also says, "Huntsville is also an amazing town. I've been all over the country throughout my life and I can honestly say without a doubt that this is the first place I feel like I could put down roots."

His most memorable story was having to evacuate the newsroom live on air as a tornadic storm came through! When he's not reporting on the weather, his hobbies include cooking, weightlifting, video games, watching hockey (he's a Boston Bruins fan), wrestling, and…cleaning!

 

Audra Martin, Sports

Audra is originally from Chicago, IL and hasn't been here long, but she is falling in love with the Valley. She graduated from the University of Central Florida and grew up playing softball (and was a competitive cheerleader!). She's also been playing in softball, football, and dodgeball leagues in Atlanta.

Audra's life revolves around music and sports, and she's a huge hockey fan. Is it any surprise, then, that her most memorable interview went like this?  "I interviewed Stanley Cup champion and Olympic gold medalist Eric Staal, then turned right around and interviewed Calder Trophy winner Jeff Skinner. That's a pretty great day for a hockey fan!"

 

 

Jillian Pavlica, Weekend Anchor

Jillian came to Huntsville from Chattanooga, and is excited to call Huntsville home. She graduated from the University of Central Florida and is a Tampa Bay Lightning fan. Her most memorable story was also one of her hardest. She covered of the destruction from the April 27, 2011 tornadoes in Ringgold, GA and says, "It was a challenge for me professionally and personally to see and report the damage and deaths. I'll never forget this day or the lives that were lost."

When Jillian is not on the air, she enjoys watching hockey, working out, anything beach related, playing football, spending time with her family, friends, and her boyfriend, Vincent.

Merry Perry, Weekend Meteorologist

Merry Perry brings your weather forecasts to the FOX54 Nine O'Clock News on Friday and Saturday nights. She hails from Albany, GA and is a graduate from the University of Georgia. She says that her most memorable interview or story was, "…researching record breaking weather and news in CNN newsroom while interning in 2008. It was a round the clock, intense, adrenalin rush I will never forget!"

When Merry is not keeping an eye on the local weather, she enjoys playing with her two chocolate lab pups, Penny and Kate, doing anything outdoors with friends and family and she loves working in her yard.
