NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson was hurt in a crash Thursday while practicing at Daytona International Speedway for the Rolex 24 race.

The Daytona Beach Journal reports that Johnson was driving at an estimated 185 mph and tried to avoid colliding with another car. He then spun around and crashed backwards into an infield wall.

Johnson was evaluated by medical staff, treated and released.
